Samoset is seeking partnerships with wealth advisors, private bankers and trust officers who want to be part of a preeminent national wealth management boutique.
- Partnership opportunities are designed to meet an advisor’s needs while creating the opportunity for accelerated organic business growth through sharing best practices while gaining the scalable efficiencies provided by the utilization of Samoset’s wealth management platform.
- The combination of Samoset’s seasoned management and investment team and unique, proprietary tools and technology, along with an infrastructure which would be built to support "front-to-back office" support services needed by all partners, offer a powerful wealth management platform for advisors serving the ultra high net worth marketplace.
Financial Model: We seek to acquire firms, teams and/or practices who are now high end financial advisors, multifamily offices, private bankers or trust officers.The partnership approach which we will deliver seeks to:
- attract firms/teams with $500mm or more in high net worth assets under management or advisement;
- deliver substantial economic benefit to new partners who contribute their businesses to Samoset in two ways : ability to merge w/ Samoset, creating equity value for partners in ownership of equity/profit units in the new Samoset and benefiting from cash payments to the partners, including up-front and on-going cash compensation for delivering their business to the Samoset partnership. The desired structure for the purchase of a new partner’s business by Samoset would involve a combination of significant percentage of their enterprise value in the equity of Samoset (most will want more equity) and the remainder in cash over a time horizon to be agreed w/ the new partner;
- participate in substantial current cash compensation, a partnership profit-share and the on-going financial success of Samoset;
- establish a systematic approach for all partners to monetize their partner equity as they retire from Samoset privately within the company by transitioning their ownership to junior partners/employees (the company will arrange for a lending facility to be available to junior partners, enabling the purchase of senior partner equity), a potential joint venture partner, the sale of the business outright or an IPO. The appropriate path for the partnership will be decided by the partnership with the best interests of the long term interest of the clients and the company in mind. An independent valuation of the business enterprise will be provided to all partners yearly.
- The goal is to create a sustainable business enterprise, which survives the senior partners of the firm, and provides superior service to clients across generations, thereby creating exceptional equity value for the partners of the firm today and in the future.

- Executive management dedicated to the institutional funding of the organization and delivering on the use of best practices to the client and thereby maximizing the equity value of the partnership

- Full access to the Samoset platform, which provides and integrates:
- goal-based asset allocation modeling/portfolio stress testing derived from client liability stream requirements
- framework for financial, estate and legacy planning
- fundamental and quantitative manager research, selection and monitoring, using a proprietary tool for assessing style, performance, risk and consistency (SPaRC)
- qualitative fundamental research led by our CIO (over 20 years of experience), to provide objective third-party active manager and passive investment solutions
- portfolio construction, optimization and rebalancing,
- client proposal generation
- practice management, and
- customizable, aggregated client reporting across multiple custodian/data feeds
- Fee-based financial and estate planning
- Middle and back-office operations (including personnel)
- Office management, legal & compliance and administrative services
