Michael R. DeNorscia Named Executive Director, Head of Operations at Samoset Asset Management Company
DARIEN, CT – Samoset Asset Management Company LLC announced today that Michael R. DeNorscia has joined the firm as Executive Director, Head of Operations and is responsible for directing, administering and coordinating Samoset’s operational activities.
Michael has over 20 years of direct operations and operations management experience in the financial services industry. In addition to his broad operations background, Michael has extensive experience in evaluating, selecting and planning the implementation of new systems and the integration of legacy systems. He was most recently the senior operations manager at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. (GMO), a private investment company with over $145 billion in AUM servicing institutional investors by offering a wide range of products including hedge funds, international and domestic equity funds, fixed income funds, asset allocation funds and separately-managed accounts. In his role at GMO, where he managed a team of over 35 professionals, he had operational responsibility for various critical internal functions, managed vendor relationships (such as financial data providers, custodian banks, prime brokers and accounting agents) and evaluated, selected and implemented new operations applications. Prior to joining GMO, he held operations positions at JP Morgan Investor Services Co., Wellington Management Company, State Street Bank & Trust Company and Fleet National Bank.
